(Five Points #2) Filthy Rich, Eoghan & Inessa

I Adored this book and when I read a new one I always try to find it’s core or at least what I feel is its core. This story is at its core about being what you choose to be and building what you choose to build. Even when if it seems like you don’t have many choices, there is always a choice… though it might not be our first, second, or even third option. Eoghan & Inessa are two people who find themselves bonded together against their own volition. On the day they become husband and wife Inessa thinks to her self… ”There was no divorce in our world. Only death. Either through the freedom of illness or violence.”. And I’m like WOW such “happy and grim thoughts” but it not quite long after that Eoghan's actions start to show Inessa and himself that they can have and be more than their circ*mstance allowed them to originally believe.

This series is one I am reading to the end and this book made me more invested in these “characters”. Now I just have to wait for the next one and thankfully Serena Akeroyd doesn’t normally make us readers wait long.

This book was absolutely amazing! I am officially in love with Eoghan (pronounced Owen) and he is a leading contender in my Book Boyfriend Group. The relationship between Inessa and Eoghan is so perfectly matched, that I honestly don't know if I have read a more closely matched pair. The only complaint I could possibly have about this story is that I didn't have more of it. I cannot wait until the next installment in the amazing Five Points story!! There is just enough action to keep you invested in the story and just enough romance to keep you swooning and yearning for more. Steamy isn't even the right word for Eoghan and Inessa....I don't know that there is a word for them. This is a must read book. This book can be read as a stand alone, but is so much better if you have read the other books that crossover with this one. I will post a reading order at the end of this review. Knowing all of the characters, even the "guest appearance" ones, draws you in that much more.

Book 2 of The Five Points series was the bomb!! Eoghan's story was absolutely enthralling!! I so love the relationship that forms between Eoghan and Inessa!! Serena's writing immerses you into the life of an Irish mob family and takes you on a journey of the good, bad and ugly!! Oh but let me not forget the heat!! Oh yum!! Eoghan may not want her to start with but she is his and do not mess with what is Eoghan's!! And for those of us that have read Serena's previous series she magically intertwines two of her other series into this one and gives you an unexpected insight into characters you have met before!! So love this family!! Excellent book!! Excited for the third book of the Five Points sexy dominate men!!

An unwanted arranged marriage by two opposing families just for the purpose of building alliances is how Eoghan & Inessa (FMC) start this book off. Two people brought together by necessity more than love who know very little about each other or if they can trust each other either. As well as an age difference they find a way to make it work. I loved how protective Eoghan with all gruffness was of Inessa. Especially against her abusive father. The crossover of characters from The Hells Rebels books - Amaryllis, Ink, Keys & Saint was a brilliant touch. Kept me more interested (even though the story was killer in its own right) from start to finish. So good i couldnt put it down. Read it all in one night that was how good it was!! Now im dying to get my hands on Aela & Declan's book from the sound of it its gonna be a goody!

Felt no real chemistry between the main characters. They were more like friends that have sex rather than anything else. I had to dnf as I just found the whole book a bit too bland.

Filthy Rich by Serena Akeroyd is book 2 in The Five Points' Mob Collection. This is the story of Eoghan and Inessa. I haven't yet read the previous book (which I hope to fix soon) so for me this was a standalone book. Eoghan is a older man in the Irish Mafia where as Inessa is just turned 18 and is a Russian Mafia Princess. So a marriage of convinces has been set in motion for both of them to marry each other to tie the two mafia families together. Eoghan is loyal to his family so even though this is a marriage he does not want he knows he will go forward to do it. Inessa has know her place to in her family but hasn't had it easy with the abuse she has taken. Then when she is 18 she is quickly married off to Eoghan. Both are so different and neither wanted the marriage but marriage in a mafia is for life..only death will part them. Eoghan with his gruffly harshness feels very protective of Inessa from this first moment he is with her. That protectiveness is something Inessa needs badly and has never had. Inessa brings softness and caring into Eoghan world so they each start to have feelings that they never thought to have toward each other. Loved this book! Need more from this author!

I'm not one to enjoy dark romance with violence, máfias and wars. However, I have to take my hat off for Serena. I started this book thinking I was going to hate it. It didn't sound like something I would like to read, but I wanted to give this genre a try. Lo and behold I was hooked on the first chapter. I wanted to see what would happen between Eoghan and Inessa. They were betrothed to each other on an arranged marriage to align to mafia families, the Irish and Russians. Inessa was too young when the engagement contract was signed and the marriage occurs as soon as she turns 18. Through out the book you see this frightened, however shrewd, young lady flourish, and the couple's relationship along with her.
You can't go wrong with any of Serena's books. She'll always take you on a journey filled with emotions, desires and dreams.

Eoghan was introduced to us in the first part of the Five Points Collection. Now he's in an arranged marriage to a Bratva princess, Inessa.

Inessa and Eoghan have amazing chemistry together, Serena pulled off making this story so beautiful, loving, steamy and just overall incredible. Eoghan is deadly in his job, making him very successful, but he's a very lovable character who is fiercely protective of Inessa. I couldn't stop turning the pages for their story.

I just love how this story makes romance alive during some dark times in life. I couldn't get enough and I cannot wait to read more of the Five Points world.

The man really has fallen hard for his girl, "...the smile that blossomed almost had me crashing the effing car. “I did at first, then I got a sight of your *** in boxer briefs and I was a convert.” I loved this book, I loved Eoghan.

I loved diving back in to the Five Points world. Eoghan and Inessa are forced into an arranged marriage by their parents to form an alliance between their Irish and Russian mob families. Inessa is a lot younger, and was promised while still a teenager. Eoghan doesn’t even meet his bride until they’re standing at the altar on her eighteenth birthday.
Eoghan is super protective of his wife, and Inessa really wants to have a genuine connection with him. I really love a super protective Alpha type, and Eoghan is perfection.I really enjoyed watching these characters grow closer and form a real connection and genuine affection for each other. They allow each other to be themselves with no judgement, and it brings them closer together.
I love how this series also ties in with the Hell’s Rebel’s and Satan’s Sinners series, and how you get to catch up with some other favorite characters while falling for new ones at the same time. I also enjoy the other character perspectives in this story that help to tie in future books in this series. Can’t wait to read the next in this series!

The first book in the Filthy f*ckers series and the second book in the Five Points Mob collection. And wow! I never was big on arranged marriage romances. But this one... Oh my God! I should know by now to always trust a story told by Serena Akeroyd! An age gap romance, where the bride is an old soul, and the groom a man of honour. An enemies to lover story, because she is Bratva scum and he is Irish mob... Can a book pack anymore punch?

This Dark Mafia Romance rivals with the best in the genre. We have romance, we have intrigue, we have angst, we have darkness and a tinsy bit of light. And as always Serena Akeroyd gives us the ending our heart needs. This is a stand alone novel, but I am already looking forward to Filthy Dark, Declan's story.

Oh and can we take a minute to talk about that cover? I mean we are taught from a young age not to judge a book by it's cover, but we all know we do it right? Well this one, I picked up on the cover alone! And boy oh boy was I not disappointed!

Spoilers ahead, 2.5*

My reviews are short these days because.....life🤦🏾‍♀️

I enjoyed this one for the most part..... when the couple were on page together.
Way too much inner monologue
A couple of mentions that I personally hate about the H's past with women
Decent mafia plot as they are a mafia family
Loved the family dynamic between the brothers
Though the h was a typical mafia bride I liked her, she knew the world she lived in and made the best of her situation
I liked the H, especially his confusion as to the effect the h was having on him. He was also deliciously J/P
Slight OW drama at the beginning in a set up situation with his ex mistress
Seems the whole family get their own books

No cheating
Arranged marriage
Manwhor* H IMO
Virgin h
J/P H
Decent amount of heat

Honestly without the inner monologue and some over description I'd have rated this higher. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Holy hell.

I was not expecting this story. From the first chapter, I was hooked. I savored every word as if it was the most expensive delicacy. I read fast, but for this story, I forced myself to slow down because I did not want to miss anything. It was that good.

The storyline is complex filled with dynamic and complex characters. I won't lie and say that I understand the loyalty in this lifestyle. However, these brothers are devoted to their father and for the most part, the father seems like a good guy, but rules with an iron fist. I am not sure if I was Eoghan that I would have love for my father. However, it was partly because of that contention between them that lead to this particular love story, and for that, I am so thankful because the love story of Eoghan and Inessa was everything that I have come to love in romance. The chemistry was there, the connection, the slow-build into something more, and the feelings.

The author didn't just throw them together and make them instantly perfect. This lifestyle, even though it was normal for both of them, isn't "normal" because violence and marriages for alliance sakes are a way of life. Watching them adjust to this slowly was delightful to watch unfold. The chemistry was fire and when they finally did connect it was spectacular. HOT. HOT. HOT.

There were characters from other stories that I have not read and I did not feel lost. It did, however, make it so that I wanted to go back and read more about these characters. The hints of what is to come next have me giddy because what is better than a mafia romance based on hate? The correct answer is NOTHING. I highly recommend this book. HIGHLY.

Eoghan comes from the five point gang.
Inessa comes from the bravta..
I wouldn't say this is a match made in heaven in the beginning, but only because neither if them wanna be married to the other.
Inessa is 16 when the book starts. Both their parents make a contract to wed them.
Eoghan fights meeting Inessa until the big day, and right off the bat he knows something is wrong. What is a five points man to do when he notices his bride is hurt on their big day, well reign in his temper of course. Although Inessa has never met him til that day she's learning quite a bit of her husband to be right infront of everyone in the church...

I dont wanna give spoilers, I loath them in reviews. I will say just because they were contracted to be married they found their own way. The chemistry between the two are on fire. They have more things in common then they thought they would. Inessa seems to have finally found her place in the world and Eoghan has already decided she is his to protect.

I enjoyed reading Eoghan and Inessa's story, have decided it is gonna be in my reread pile forever. Adore them two together. I am looking forward to the next book in the series with more of the crossovers to. Its didn't start as a match made in heaven but it sure ended as one.

If I thought I liked Finn, I think I love Eoghan even more! Eoghan is the type of MC I love. He is protective and cherishes what is his. He doesn’t look at his new bride as property, though he isn’t afraid to use those terms to get his point across when needed. He’s prepared to lay the world at her feet and give her wings to fly, and he’s equally prepared to lay waste to any and all who would harm her. Inessa is a breath of fresh air. She and Eoghan are FIRE together! I loved the glimpse into the O’Donnelly family life and the look at what’s to come. I was happy to see my favorite Hell’s Rebels, but I wish it was more of a cameo... I would still love for their storyline to be continued in their own series!

Every time I start reading a book from Serena I think no she cant do better than the last one. Okay here goes nothing.... from an arranged marriage to love that is what Inessa and Eoghan have. The 5 points family lovers here even if she is bratva. I dont want to give to much away but I would make sure to start at “all sinner no saint” to get the full experience. Its not necessary to start there but the characters do show up in other books. I don’t want to give to much away, but you should try these books fall in love with the characters you won’t be disappointed.

P.s. you finally get to see whats up Declans ass.😂

Welcome to the Family!

I’ve died and gone to heaven! The tangled web Serena Akeroyd has woven is absolutely brilliant, off the charts amazing, and only something she could accomplish. 5 Stars across the board. Her story telling prowess comes out full force inFilthyRich. Not only do we get a violently beautiful love story between arranged bride and groom, Eoghan & Inessa, but we get so many teasers for future books to come!

The flow of this book feels so natural that it sucked me in and took me for a ride with the characters.FilthyRichis Eoghan & Inessa’s story but it is so much more. Eoghan is an O’Donelly, a Five Points man, Mafia. Family means everything to the O’Donelly clan and that is very evident throughout the book. Serena uses it and their multiple POV to pull the story together and make it easy to connect to these dynamic and violent characters. By the end you feel like you are part of the family and living in their spare bedroom.

However! While family is important, we don’t get to choose who they are, we are born in to them. Marriage is suppose to be an opportunity to choose someone of your own. Unfortunately for Eoghan and Inessa, that choice is ripped from them. One contract later and their Head-of-Household's have signed their freedom of choice away, thus uniting the two Mafia Dynasties through marriage.

Eoghan is reluctant, to say the least, to being tied to Bratva scum. Inessa doesn’t want to trade one hell for another, but has no choice, never had a choice in her family. How will this work out for them? Inessa who is all demure and sophisticated. Eoghan who is a lone wolf and very particular about everything in his life. Can Inessa be a lady in public and the freak in the sheets he needs? Will Eoghan be able to give her the care and safety she pines for?

There are so many delicious surprises and twists. So....Welcome to the family! Filthy Rich is the next book in the Five Points Universe which includes overlappingwith the Hell's Rebels MC and Satan's Sinners MC collections creating a Universe I can't wait to sink my teeth into more!

Confession: this was my first time reading in-depth about the Five Points group, since I hadn’t read All Sinner No Saint yet when I read this title. However, since then I’ve started ASNS, and I’m so in love with this universe. I have read Nyx and Link, so the Irish group is familiar to me at least. I truly think this book could be read as a stand-alone, though.

What we have here is an arranged marriage/mafia romance. Serena Akeroyd has put her own spin on it, by using the aforementioned universe to lend a realism to the characters that I absolutely loved. I was engrossed in this one for sure. Eoghan is a true antihero, and Inessa is a perfect match for him. You find yourself rooting for them the entire time, which is something I really enjoy about Serena’s books. Most of the time I end up really hating one of the characters, but here there’s such a relatability to the family aspect that surrounds Eoghan and his brothers that even though he’s a “hardened” criminal etc.. you still want him to find happiness.

There is a huge amount of teasing of the next book in here, so get ready to finish one story (there is a definite ending there) and want to start the next one right away. Declan’s story sounds like one that’s rife with drama, which is exactly what I want.

Also, can we please talk about this cover??? How gorgeous is this?

While I love dark romances, I don't reach for ones that include mafia. Yet again, Serena grabbed me by the eyeballs and took me for an engaging ride that changed my mind about her world of mafia at least. I fell hard for the brewing relationship that grew between Eoghan and Inessa. There was no love between the Irish and the Russian mobs, yet Inessa was welcomed into the fold because of the actions of her father & the hidden protectiveness of Eoghan. She was perfect for Eoghan, just as he was perfect for her. I loved how they also showed the relationship the brothers had with each other and their parents.

Oh my word this book is amazing! I love, love Inessa! She is so strong despite everything she has gone through. Having a marriage arranged and being forced to marry a complete stranger on your 18th birthday would be difficult for anyone, but she handles it with grace and with the thought that anything is better than what she had been dealing with. Finding a guy who is willing to fight for her, even if he isn't sure about her at first, makes it all the better. Together they are phenomenal and the heat jumps off the pages. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this amazing world that Serena Akeroyd has created!

I've been a fan of serena's for a while and everytime I think she's conjoured the ultimate bbf she goes and tops it again!

Eoghan is a dark bad boy inessa is sweet and relatively innocent. Together they are hot as hell!
Seeing them grow and change together it heartwarming with the edge of danger you'd expect when we're talking about the Irish mafia

This can be read as a stand alone but there are crossover characters from other books which I'd highly recommend checking out.

Eoghan is an Irish mafia prince, while Inessa is a bratva princess about to become his bride whether he likes it or not. Obviously this means that their start isn't all that it's cracked up to be, but boy did it keep my heart rate up because their chemistry from the jump is off the charts. She is the light to his darkness while he became her protector & treated her better than anyone in her life has done. So the sexy times were insanely HOT, but it's the suspense part that made me the most happy. See, I try to keep the f-bomb dropping to only sports and books, so getting to drop them throughout this story put me in my happy place. The brilliantly addictive Serena Akeroyd is a new to me author, and frankly, I'm kicking myself for being late to her party. So, hit those one click buttons to experience this amazing piece of goodness for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Serena is always catching my attention from the very beginning. Eoghan and Inessa were thrown together in an arranged marriage but their relationship developed over time. Serena didn’t just make it love at first sight but let you see how these two could actually like and want to be together. I have come to expect the protectiveness from the male characters but what Serena does with her female characters is just amazing. Eoghan and Inessa are so protective of each other – physically and emotionally. The whole Five Points story is amazing…can’t wait for the next book.

As I dnfed this book it’s safe to say I’m not going to rate this.
I didn’t like the writing style. It was kind of crude. Too many usage of bitch/slu*t instead of women, whor*, c*nt, s*atch etc.
And after sometime, reading this became a chore.

Still if you don’t have such problems then this is recommended.

So... this is the usual 'mafia' romance we all have read a thousand times. I didn't really look deeply into it. The characters are funny but lack chemistry, there are some things thrown in there that are unnecessary or aren't explained. What I liked the most was family dynamic between the hero and his brothers which felt like na rom-com, but I'm not complaining. I will read the next book because it's characters' story interests me.
I gave it 4.5 stars because it was an addictive read, I read it in a day and really enjoyed it. As I said, I won't look further into it. I'm just a sucker for grumpy men who are only soft for their love interest, okay?

Ms Akeroyd has a way with romance that burns hotter than the sun in August. This is the second of her Five Points series and one of her best books ever. I keep saying that with every book she writes but I swear she just gets better and better! This one is no exception. It's sweltering, a filthy Irish mafia prince and a fiesty, barely legal Russian woman, forced into marriage sight unseen. He protects what's his and she has bruises on her face...see what happens next! This book has everything you could possibly want in an Akeroyd book!

This book is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I loved it! Serena Akeroyd’s books and her writing have a way of pulling you in and holding you captive until she is done telling the story, and let me tell you, this book is no different. Eoghan and Inessa’s story is amazing. The storyline is emotional, action packed, intriguing. I Loved the character cameos, they are brilliant, and they set up for more possible stories, which is awesome! I highly recommend and definitely consider this book a MUST READ!

Just a PS here, I just finished the audiobook for Filthy Rich, and let me tell you, it is phenomenal! The Narrators do a fantastic job bringing the story and characters to life! If you are in to audiobooks, I wouldn’t miss out on this one! It is HOT!

I loved The Air He Breathes being introduced to the Five Points Irish Mafia and loved Finn and Aoife's story. Filthy Rich is the second Five Points book, it doesn't disappoint! Eoghan and Inessa are thrown together through an arranged marriage. He is a Five Points man and she is the daughter of Russian mob. They met on their wedding day but fit together so perfectly much to their surprise. Their story is dark, intense and steamy. I loved the crossovers from the Sinner's MC books too. Can't wait to read more.
