You will definitely want to make this tropical frozen yogurt bites recipe if you have a sweet tooth like I do. Just because I am trying to lose a few pounds and eat healthier, doesn't mean my sweet tooth automatically goes away. I love dessert and have always felt that a little something sweet after a meal just totally completes the dining experience. In my younger days, a bowl of ice cream or a couple of cookies was no big deal. Heck, I used to keep a can of frosting in the fridge for those late night PMS chocolate cravings. Nowadays, though, I need to watch the calories a tad bit more closely than I used to! This tropical frozen yogurt bites recipe is the perfect way to appease my craving for sweets without feeling horribly guilty about the excess calories.

You can really make these frozen yogurt bites in just about any flavor you want. Just use 1 cup yogurt to ½ cup fruit. Add in some additional flavors and a tad bit of sweetness and you are all set to go! Here is an affiliate link to thesilicone ice cube traysI chose to use. If you don't want to use ice cube trays, you can put wax paper on a cookie sheet and just put a dollop of the fruit/yogurt mix on it before freezing. Both methods should work fine, I just like the uniform look of the ones frozen in the ice cube tray.

You can use crushed pineapple for this recipe but make sure you drain it really well. You can actually use just about any fruit you want but you will need to cut it up fairly small. Large chunks of fruit in this frozen yogurt bites recipe will make your final product a bit difficult to eat! Also, I filled my ice cube trays up too full and they were a bit too large for one bite. Fill them half way for one bite or all the way and cut them in half for two bites!
